Award-winning artist Harriet Blum has been creating fine art photographs for more than 30 years. Most of Harriet's work begins with Black and White 35mm infrared film, which she develops and prints in her darkroom. Original prints are made on double weight fiber-based paper, then sepia-toned and tinted using transparent oils that are applied with cotton balls and Q-tips. Harriet’s recognizable style is often described as “romantic peacefulness,” “ethereal,” and “dreamy.”

Her work is featured in collections including the New Orleans Museum of Art, Roger Ogden Museum of Southern Art, Mobile Museum of Art, Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, Loews New Orleans Hotel, Oschner Foundation Hospitals and Clinics, St. Tammany Parish Courthouse, Center for Restorative Breast Surgery, Total Sleep Diagnostics, Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal in New Orleans, Tulane University, Cardiovascular Associates, Inc., St. Tammany Parish Hospital, and on the cover of the latest George Winston album.

Her awards include Best of Show in the Bethesda Row Art Festival, Bethesda, Maryland; First Place, Photography, in the Miami Beach Art’s Festival; First Place in the American Photography Exhibit, Museum of the Horse, Ruidoso, New Mexico, and Award of Merit in the Winter Park, Florida Sidewalk Art Festival.

A Philadelphia native, Harriet grew up in South Florida and has lived in Louisiana for 37 years. Originals as well as signed and numbered giclee' prints on paper or canvas are available in a variety of sizes.           386-871-2378           Privacy Policy
